Greetings ~
The Nazi Party of World War II Germany spawned many butchers. And one of the top was Reinhard Heydrich. Like most of them, he was a slender man who, in any other situation, would probably be beaten down by most in a fair fight. However, in the case of Heydrich, nothing was fair.
Heydrich was assassinated on a street in Prague in 1942 when his car was attacked with a bomb. He did linger for a week in pain before dying which was fitting. But what happened to the car? The 1938 Mercedes Benz convertible also lingered in a garage for decades until it was bought, restored and sold to a museum.
This blog tells of the car's history and present day. Also added is the story of Heydrich. I didn't want to waist the space of two blogs on this guy so I added his biography here. The Nazis were an evil organization for sure. But the relics that came out of those terrible years should...and must, be retained and cared for. These are very important to the history of the world, whatever they are.
I've created blogs about the cars of Adolf Hitler and others, so I thought it was fitting to create a blog about another historic car. The death car of Reinhard Heydrich. Say what you will about the man, but the story of his car is an interesting one. This blog is dedicated to the two brave men who did the world a favor by killing this scumbag.
